Friendly reminder before Friday close:
>buying weekly far-OTM options: market maker collects your cash premium, hedges delta with synthetic internal shares, and pins max pain by Friday 3:59 PM
>buying spot $$GME on IBKR routed via IEX (routed via IEX) and transferring to Computershare Book: never expires, zero theta decay, permanently removes 500 shares from the DTCC pool
Don't donate weekly premiums to the very Citadel/Virtu desks you're trading against.
>>2004
Learned this lesson years ago. Spot shares in DRS Book have infinite time value and zero theta decay.
Plus when you own real shares in Schwab/IBKR/Computershare, Friday afternoon pins don't stress you at all.
